Original Correspondence. [THE annexed letter was published by us, as an Extraordinary, on Saturday last, simply because Mr. Rusden seemed to think that the publication of A. Z.'s letter without a reply appearing prior to the election might interfere with his chance as a candidate. We consider Mr. Rusden's communication as being more an attack upon ourselves than an answer to A. Z. However, public men should not be too thin-shinned, especially in election times, and as we experience no inconvenience from M r. Rusden's paper pellets or high-sounding resolves, we shall merely remark that we consider ourselves to be quite as competent judges of the propriety of publishing any communication as Mr. Rusden, and that we shall neither accept his dictum nor that of any one else in preference to our own judgment.—EDS. 'A.E.'] To the Editors of the 'Armidale Express.'
